Giants stay strong against Tigers, 5-4

The Tigers couldn't fight off the Giants today, losing 5-4. The Giants had a big first inning starting with Pablo Sandoval hitting a sharp ground single to score Buster Posey. Andrew Susac took the plate and hit a fly double, scoring 2 runs. Joaquin Arias hit a sharp ground double to bring home Susac, giving the Giants a 4 run lead. Miguel Cabrera took the plate and hit a homer in the 1st. Victor Martinez hit a 2 run homer in the 3rd. Posey scored the last run for the Giants in the 5th with a homer. Miggy hit another homer of his own, but it wasn't enough to take the game. The Tigers and Giants take the diamond again tomorrow, pregame coverage starts at 7:40 PM on The Game, 730 AM, WVFN
