FSD is Dropping Jack Morris

According to the Detroit Free Press FSD general manager Greg Hammaran said that Jack Morris will not return to the booth during the 2017 season.

Fox Sports Detroit will stick with Mario Impemba and Rod Allen for 102 games, Mario Impemba and Kirk Gibson for 60 games. Gibson will be partnered with sportscasting legend Dick Enberg in August for the entire series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"It’s very difficult for a TV play-by-play to drop in and do a radio game," Hammaren said. "It’s not fair to either one. … I’m glad I’m tried and learned a lot. … I have to be responsive to fans."

In addition to Morris' departure, Fox Sports will not include Dan Dickerson in any 2017 broadcast.
