Former Mr. Basketball To Face Charges
Former Michigan Mr. Basketball and Michigan State player Keith Appling is facing multiple weapons charging related to an incident at a strip club from over the weekend in Dearborn, MI.
He is being arraigned in court on Wednesday on two weapons charges and a misdemeanor drug charge.
Appling was Michigan's Mr. Basketball as a high school senior in 2010 at Detroit Pershing High School. He set a state finals record in 2009 when he scored 49 points in the Class A Championship Game in 2009 in a victory over Kalamazoo Central.
He played for Michigan State from 2010-14.
