ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that former MSU and current Pittsburgh Steelers running back LeVeon Bell has been suspended for the first three games of the 2015 regular season for violations of the league's substance abuse policy.

Bell says that he plans to appeal the ruling. This punishment comes from a DUI incident from last summer that also included a marijuana possession charge against Bell.

Bell rushed for over 1,300 yards and scored eight touchdowns for the Steelers in 2014.
