Ford Field Could Host Yet Another Displaced NFL Game
With hurricane Joaquin reaching category 4 status and threatening the east coast of North America with winds up to 130 miles per hour, the NFL is pondering options on what to do with the game.
One option is to move the game to week 8, when the teams share a bye week.
Another one is familiar to Detroit area football fans.
The possibility of yet another displaced NFL game being moved to Ford Field, it would be the third in the last five years. Minnesota-New York Giants in 2010 was moved after the Metrodome in Minneapolis collapsed. Just last year Buffalo-New York Jets was moved to Ford Field after a massive snowstorm hit the Buffalo area in November of 2014.
