Here are the Five Things for December 9th...

1.  The Green Bay Packers remain atop the NFC North with a 43-37 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.  Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 327 yards and 3 touchdowns.

2.  The Golden State Warriors won their 13th straight game.  They defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-86.  Steph Curry and Klay Thompson each had 21 points to lead Golden State, who now moves to a league-best 18-2.

3.  Baseball's Winter Meetings began yesterday in San Diego, CA.  The Chicago White Sox acquired Jeff Samardzia and David Robertson from Oakland and the NY Yankees, respectively.

4.  The finalists for the Heisman Trophy have been announced.  Oregon's Marcus Mariota, Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon, and Alabama's Amari Cooper will be in New York for the annoucement this coming Saturday.

5. Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro defensive back Eric Berry's doctor announced that he has Hodgkin's lymphoma.  Berry complained about chest discomfort after a game last month.
