Additional Information

On Monday, October 23, there was a horrific house fire in Dewitt, Michigan. Though this fire involved multiple families, none were impacted quite as hard as the Erskine Family who were visiting the home. Jonathan Erskine is an employee of Spare Time Entertainment Center.

Alix and her two boys, Jeremiah and Levi, escaped the fire, but suffered injuries. Luckily, Jonathan, Alix’s husband and the boys' father, was not with them at the time. Jeremiah, the oldest is 2 years old, thankfully, only had smoke inhalation and is now home with his grandmother. Alix, Jon’s wife, and Levi, his 10 month old son, were transported to U of M in critical condition with severe burns.

Since the fire, Alix has improved, but Levi, continues to experience complications. Jon’s “work family” is trying to help raise funds through a fundraiser at Spare Time Entertainment on Sunday, November 19th from 8:00 am - 11:00 am. Tickets are $20.00 apiece and include choice of bowling or arcade with breakfast. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Erskine family to help with expenses and gas to allow Jon to bounce between his family in the hospital while visiting his oldest at his grandmother’s.

Spare Time is accepting donations at their front desk on behalf of the Erskine family. You can also contribute to their GoFundMe here.
