Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal is reporting on Monday morning that ESPN will continue to broadcast Big Ten football and basketball games for the next six seasons starting in the fall of 2017.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Fox Sports (Big Ten Network is a subsidiary of Fox Sports) had bought half of the Big Ten TV package for over $200 million/year.  The ESPN portion of the deal is expected to be just shy of $200 million/year.

The current TV deal with ESPN/Big Ten Network expires after the 2016-17 school year.
