Lansing Eastern HS has named defensive coordinator Jordan Morgan as the school's new head football coach on Thursday afternoon, according to the Lansing State Journal.

Morgan replaces Troy Matlock, who had been the head coach of the Quakers for the last four seasons.  Morgan was Matlock's defensive coordinator last season.

Eastern has the Lansing-area's longest losing streak at 29 straight losses.  They haven't won since they defeated Jackson in the 2014 season.

The Quakers will move from the CAAC Blue to the CAAC Red in time for next season.  Eastern has only made the playoffs once in their existence, that was in 1997 when they lost to Rockford in the first round of the Class AA playoffs.
