Monday night, the first ever NBA Awards featured an evening of dazzling entertainment. 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj and others performed while Drake hosted in an evening that had the mark of a full-on awards show. Though it began Tuesday, it felt like tradition complete with the outlandish wardrobes we've come to expect and love from celebrities.

Of course, one of the most classic looks of the evening came from Michigan State's very own Draymond Green, who won the Kia Defensive Player of the Year Award.

We know how competitive the NBA can be when it comes to fashion risks. But really, who would've thought that the NBA World Champion could upstage Russell Westbrook who kept lowkey until winning his sought after Kia Most Valuable Player Award among others including the Best Style of the Year Award.

Then again, Westbrook dressed pretty standard while Green busted out the sea foam blue blazer. The shorts and skull and crossbones shoes just did it for sure.

After winning his second championship ring in three years, an Olympic Gold Medal and his first Defensive Player of the Year Award, Green's earned the right to wear what he wants on the red carpet. Kawhi Leonard was probably a little disappointed he didn't get the three-peat for Defensive Player of the Year but, hey, All NBA Defensive First Team's not bad.
