Do You Like The Detroit Lions New Uniforms?

The Detroit Lions announced on Thursday night that they will have new uniforms for the 2024 season.

The main home and road uniforms are a return, to a large degree, to the uniforms in the 1980's through the 2000's.

The team is also bringing back the alternate black uniforms that they wore for a time in the early 2000's.

The helmet is a little bit different as well.  You can see that above.

Lions President and Chief Executive Officer Rod Wood had this to say about the uniform unveil:

"We are excited to launch a new era of Lions football, Honolulu Blue and Silver has defined the Detroit Lions for generations and I am proud that we found a way to continue to evolve the look with a nod to the past and a focus on the future. The traditional look of our primary jerseys combined with the bold attitude of our alternate jerseys capture the essence of Detroit and the multi-generational fans base that supports us."

The Lions are coming off their most successful season since 1991 (where they lost to Washington in the NFC Championship).  The Lions won the NFC North division for the first time ever with a 12-5 record.  And after playoff victories over the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Lions lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship, 34-31.

The NFL Draft is next weekend in downtown Detroit.  The Lions have the 29th pick in the first round.  They have seven picks overall next weekend.
