Luke Hyde scored 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the DeWitt Panthers to a tough 49-45 win over Waverly at Phil Odlum Gymnasium on Friday night.

Alan Smith added 14 points and 5 rebounds for DeWitt.  Tevin Ali was the only Warrior player in double figures with 15 points and 3 rebounds.  DeWitt outrebounded Waverly 31-18 on the night.

With the win, DeWitt moves to 3-0 in CAAC Red play, 5-2 overall.  Waverly drops to 2-1 in the league, 3-4 overall.

DeWitt is off until Tuesday when they host Lansing Catholic.  Waverly visits Mason next Friday night.
