Detroit Tigers lose to the Rangers today, 9-2

The Detroit Tigers (27-16) lost to the Texas Rangers (23-24) today at Comerica Park, 9-2. Texas would take the early lead today in the 2nd inning when a line drive double hit by Alex Rios scored Adrian Beltre, and a line drive single from Chris Gimenez scored Rios. In the third, Beltre hit a line drive double to bring home Elvis Andrus and Shin-Soo Choo. And after a fielding error from Miguel Cabrera allowed Beltre to score another run.  Shin-Soo Choo hit a 2 run homer in the 4th. It wasn't until the 6th inning when the Tigers got on the board after a ground ball double from Cabrera brought in Torii Hunter and a ground ball single from Don Kelly brought home Cabrera. The Tigers will get a chance for redemption tomorrow when they take on the Rangers again. Game broadcast begins at 6:40 PM on Lansing's Big Talker, WJIM AM, 1240 AM.
