The Detroit Tigers have come to terms with their first round draft pick this year.

Right handed pitcher Alex Faedo out of the University of Florida was selected 18th overall in the 2017 MLB Draft by the Tigers and has come to terms on his rookie contract.

Faedo won the College World Series with Florida and was named the CWS Most Outstanding Player, with a 2-0 record, one save, 44 strikeouts and a 0.33 ERA in 27.1 innings of work.

Faedo's junior season numbers with Florida totaled a 9-2 record, 2.26 ERA and a NCAA best 157 strikeouts in 123.2 innings.

Faedo coming to terms means the Tigers have gotten 30 players under contract from their 40 person draft class in 2017, including 22 of their first 23 picks.
