Spartan head football coach Mark Dantonio might not want it, but a quarterback controversy is brewing in East Lansing.

After not committing to a quarterback directly after the Spartans lost at home to BYU 31-14, Dantonio was equally as coy Tuesday in his weekly press conference.

"We talked at length about those things and they are going to stay in house, all three guys are off limits to the media... I don't need them to be peppered with what is going on right now." Dantonio said.

The Spartans have a double "OR" situation, listing Tyler O'Connor, Damion Terry and Brian Lewerke as possible starters this week against Northwestern with the "OR" designation on the depth chart.

They also have a double "OR" Situation at running back with Scott, Holmes and London all listed as potential starters but it's the QB dilemma that is new and most worrying for the Spartans, who are in the midst of a three game losing streak for the first time that has happened since 2009.

Dantonio continuing on the issue said "I don't like sitting a player who is a Captain, but Tyler has done a great job in that respect.

Northwestern, also 2-3 this year, comes into town next week for homecoming week in East Lansing. The Wildcats are coming off of a bye week, with their last game action being a big 38-31 win at Iowa in Kinnick Stadium.
