Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio (pictured) announced at his weekly press conference on Tuesday that the team will be without four-year starting punter Jake Hartbarger due to a bone bruise/fracture to his leg suffered in the team's 16-13 loss to Arizona State last Saturday night.

Tweet from the Detroit Free Press's Chris Solari:

Hartbarger was injured in the second half last Saturday when he was hit low by an Arizona State player.  The fifth-year senior is in his fourth year as the Spartans punter, he was averaging almost 49 yards per boot this season.

Dantonio also announced that backup quarterback Rocky Lombardi, a redshirt freshman, will serve as the team's punter in Hartbarger's absence.
