The MSU Spartans fell to the Cornhuskers of Nebraska today, 77-79. Though it was a tight game for the first half, the Corn Huskers were able to take a commanding lead going into the second half. The Spartans had several rallies in the second half,and came close to overtime late in the second, but Nebraska was able to clench the victory at the final buzzer. Terran Petteway dominated the game in points for the Cornhuskers, scoring 31 points. Travis Trice scored 27 points for the Spartans. As a team, Nebraska shot 22-45 from the field, 29-37 in free throws, and 6-19 in 3 pointers. The Spartans shot 27-66 in field goals, 15-25 in free throws, and 8-24 in threes.
