The Los Angeles Clippers have waived former Michigan State standout Branden Dawson after one season according to the Associated Press.

Dawson appeared in six games averaging 0.8 points and 4.8 minutes during his tenure with the Clippers. He also appeared in 29 D-League games averaging 10.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals a game.

As a Spartan, Dawson reached the final four during his senior year and finished as MSU's all-time leader in blocks. Dawson was selected 56th overall by New Orleans Pelicans in the 2015 draft, his rights were traded to the Clippers for cash considerations.

In March, Dawson was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of spousal abuse but was never charged.
