Charles Rogers On The Mad Dog Show: ‘I Should Have Been More Professional’

He was voted the best high school football player in Michigan in 1999. He set all kinds of records at Michigan State. He was drafted No. 2 overall by the Detroit Lions in 2002, then caught two touchdowns in his first game.

But it all fell apart from there.

Charles Rogers joined The Mad Dog Show on Thursday to talk about what might have been. He recapped the Lansing State Journal profile piece from last month that renewed interest in the Saginaw native.

He discussed what he’s been doing for the past decade since his football career ended unceremoniously. He also talked about what he’d like to do with the rest of his life.

Rogers also turned the interview around on David “Mad Dog” DeMarco at one point, asking the host point-blank whether he thought Rogers is a bust.
