Former NBA Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose was traded on Wednesday from the Chicago Bulls to the New York Knicks.

Rose, who was drafted by Chicago out of the University of Memphis in 2008, goes to the Big Apple along with a future second round draft choice and guard Justin Holiday.

The Bulls will receive three players from the Knicks.  Rose was the league's MVP in 2011, but has been beset by multiple knee injuries in recent years.
