Brad Ausmus Leaves Tigers To Deal With Mother’s Passing
Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus will not manage the team for the next two games and has left the team to deal with the death of his mother.
Bench coach Gene Lamont will manage on Wednesday against Philadelphia and on Friday against Oakland when the team opens a road trip.
The Tigers have won eight of their last nine games entering Wednesday's play, they are 23-22 on the season.
