If the March Madness tournament started tomorrow, the Michigan State Spartans would find itself a No. 3 seed according to the NCAA Bracket Preview.

While the bracket reveal means little for tournament seeding at the end of the regular season, it's nice to have a progress report.

Just yesterday, the No. 4 AP-ranked Spartans completed a major win over No. 3 Purdue with a game winner from Miles Bridges in a very tight game.

Today's projection places MSU in the South Region with Virginia, Tennessee and Cincinnati.

The projects rank Virginia, Villanova, Xavier and Purdue as the No. 1 seeds.

With only three losses and No. 2 Virginia also falling this weekend, MSU could jump a couple spots in the AP poll for their win.

Only four games lay in between now and the Big Ten Tournament and Selection Sunday is only 28 days away.
