Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal is reporting that the Big Ten Conference and Fox Sports is very close to a new deal regarding multimedia rights to broadcast games.

Fox Sports owns the Big Ten Network (BTN), which has been on the air since August of 2007.  The new deal would take effect in the fall of 2017, it's for 1/2 of the full TV rights.  ESPN and CBS currently have the rights to Big Ten basketball games.  The ESPN family of networks and BTN have the rights to Big Ten football.

No word on if or when the deal will be finalized.
