The Colorado Avalanche beat the Detroit Red Wings in a long shootout tonight in Hockeytown, 2-1. The game was locked in a scoreless tie until early in the 3rd period when Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal with a snap shot. Colorado responded late in the game when Erik Johnson tied up the game. No goals made in overtime, and with the shootout tied up til the 8th round, Jarome Iginla made the shot to win the game. Tune in on Tuesday night, when the wings take on the Buffalo Sabres.
