Andre Drummond was listed as one of the seven all-star reserves for the Eastern Conference on Thursday. He is the first Detroit Piston to be named an all-star since Allen Iverson.

Earlier in the season the Pistons PR department put together this awesome video trying to encourage fans to vote Drummond a starter featuring the Commander-in-Chief. The video unfortunately did not work as Drummond finished 4th in the fan voting for the three front court starter spots.

No word on if the video swayed the Eastern Conference coaches, who are the ones who decide the reserves. It could have been that or the fact that Andre Drummond leads the league in double-doubles this season, and leads the entire NBA in rebounding.

For Drummond it will be his first All-Star game appearance. There are three other fresh faces to the All-Star game including, Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas, Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (starter), and Warriors forward and former Michigan State Spartan Draymond Green.

The Golden State Warriors lead all teams in the NBA with three All-Stars with starter Stephen Curry and reserves Klay Thompson and the aforementioned Green. The San Antonio Spurs have three representatives in starter Kawhi Leonard, reserve LaMarcus Aldridge and coach Gregg Popovich.
