1.  We had another exciting night of high school hoops in the Mid-Michigan area last night.  Our featured game here on The Game 730 AM had Grand Ledge (undefeated in the CAAC blue) avoiding a near upset to Okemos.  The Chiefs jumped out to a lead in the first quarter, but the Comets pulled this one out 54-47 on the backs of their outstanding pressure defense and 23 points from Malek Adams.  GL lost JT Houghton to a bad-looking injury in the first quarter, and he missed the rest of the game.  We certainly hope that he is alright.

Other games had Lansing Everett upsetting Holt, DeWitt rebounding from last Friday's loss with a win over Ionia.  Eastern topped East Lansing, Portland edged out Lansing Catholic, Waverly beat Charlotte, and Haslett got a win over St. John's.

2.  Today is college football's national signing day  .After getting highly-coveted defensive tackle Craig Evans to commit earlier this week, the Spartans are still awaiting the decisions of a few top prospects.

3.  A land transfer for a new Red Wings stadium has been approved by the Detroit City Council. The Stadium will cost an estimated $450 million and hopes to be ready for the 2016-2017 season.

4.  Ohio State's basketball team got its second straight impressive road win last night, topping Iowa 76-69.  Aaron Craft had 17 points, six assists, and six steals for the Buckeyes.  After losing five out of six games, OSU has responded with a road win over #14 Wisconsin before last night's win over #17 Iowa.  In the meantime, Iowa has lost three of their last five games and they face another stiff test Saturday against Michigan.
